Dogging is a British euphemism for engaging in sexual acts in a semi-public place (typically a secluded car park or a cinema) or watching others doing so. There are often people in cars to watch, otherwise walk to the grassy headland between Broadsands Beach and Elbury Cove, there is usually someone dogging to be had there too. The NHS Health Promotion team covering the Medway area in Kent noticed that the number of cases of hepatitis rose towards the end of 2002, and some patients said they had probably contracted the illness as a result of dogging. They decided to post messages on the dogging sites warning of the risks of unprotected sex. |
